I love writing. I love stories. I’ve been writing so much that I’ve neglected social media. It’s honestly a great thing, and I’m happier for it. I’m even more peaceful during and after a writing session. But…I need to get back into the groove. Here we go!

And we’re back… Reyuul’s Redemption survived the #SPFBO lottery for 2026 and the 11th run. We will compete against 300 other titles and specifically 29 others in the first round. We’re honored to be in this contest and a few others. More to come!

I could probably just mention Raistlin and have an entire generation of readers perk up. I know I did when I saw his name on another post earlier. What an iconic character. Flawed. Powerful. A destiny that shook the universe. Go read Dragonlance.

My hot take on the SPFBO lottery thing is that the people organizing it are doing their best and we should all be grateful for the visibility they give to indie books! 💪

#SPFBO Champion "By Blood, By Salt" reaches 500 ratings on goodreads. It had 47 when it reached the finals and ~10 when it joined the contest. It's a great example of the contest bringing hidden gems to wider notice 🙂

I can’t believe it. I made it in!!! 300 fantasy authors were selected by lottery, and I got to be one of them!!! Each phase is a brutal gauntlet of reviews, and while the honored review board may decimate my book, I can’t explain how much of an honor it is to be in the contest.
