Today at 4pm, @mcfrs was alerted to a house fire in 8500blk of Churchill Downs Rd(Laytonsville). Initial report of fire starting in garage and extending into the attic. 5 occupants displaced/uninjured. Cause of the fire is still under investigation. @mcfrsPIO

Approximately 70 @mcfrs FFs and EMS are operating in the 8500blk of Churchill Downs Rd(Laytonsville) due to a large house fire. All 5 adult occupants have been displaced from their home and are being helped by Red Cross. Scene is still active with traffic being diverted.

Road is closed at Churchill Downs Rd and Woodfield Rd in Laytonsville, due the house fire in the 8500blk Churchill Downs Rd. @mcfrs tankers are shuttling water to the fire, and police are diverting traffic away from the area. @mcfrsPIO

Earlier today @4pm, @mcfrs was dispatched to a house fire in the 8500blk Churchill Downs Rd(Laytonsville). Crews arrived to find fire from the garage with extension into the home. All occupants are accounted for and uninjured. Cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Training never takes a holiday. Today, @mcfrs members of Fire Station 25 practiced advancing a handling with our newest employee, FF Jessica Munoz. Practicing the basics so we are quicker to protect and serve. @mcfrsPIO
