As a youngster I used to regard owner Mario Lanfranchi at
@RomfordDogs
as a celebrity, he owned loads of top dogs carrying the ‘El’ prefix and turned up to racing in a stretch limo often wearing a suit with matching hat.
A real character, he sadly passed away on Jan 2 aged 94.

This four-day rule is no good, Saturday night is an example of the drama it will continue to cause!
Any rule should’ve been kept to graded races and let the trainers decide what’s best for their open racers - would always favour a run-off or re-run over drawing lots personally.

Tracks are filling opens with locally-trained graders or using them to just qualify dogs
What is the point of that?
Completely devaluing the top-end of the sport
