Spot on from @ClementDelangue, CEO at Hugging Face. We'll look back at the #OneAIToRuleThemAll craze, in the same way we now look at Mainframes before Mobile Phones. (and PC's, gaming consoles, Airfryers, and all the gazillions of other places we now own 'compute').

“I think all the attention, all the focus, all the money, is concentrated into this idea that you can build one model through a bunch of compute and that is going to solve all problems for all companies and all people,” @ClementDelangue. “I think the reality is that you’ll see in

Perfect example of why distributing personal AI to our own mobiles will become so essential (also hyper personal, 100% private and no AI token $fees either...) @CloudflareDev #cloudflareoutage #DeviceNativeAI #SLM #EdgeAI @Cloudflare @DataSapienAI

@AndrewOrlowski Precisely, though, when the correction comes, they will position as "essential to US National Security" for the bailout. Meanwhile, the productivity frontier will shift to embedding small models into existing processes/apps. Building this at @DataSapienAI (and we're British😉)

the economics of SLMs (small langauge models) are wild: 10-30x cheaper to run than frontier llms. same task, same accuracy, orders of magnitude less compute.

Instead of all AI running in centralized data centers... We're moving to "edge computing" - where AI runs directly on devices. Imagine your smart home devices, cars, and phones all running their own AI models. The implications are massive:

Great chatting with Owen Eddershaw at @Truegloballive a couple of weeks back. Consumers becoming conscious about what happens with their data. Enabling customers to participate directly with their own data - earns trust. We've put the solution an SDK https://t.co/LGeEIbUOsZ
