Education is key. Sure you wanna get the job but you gotta educate clients too. If you're coming to a band requesting for covers, ask yourself, do some research if they are an original artist or a cover band. With AI now, things are even easier. Use it to your advantage pls.

It's 2025. Event Organizers, please know that there are 2 types of 'live band'. Type 1 - original artist with their own music. Type 2 - cover band where they play music that's not their own. E.g they play Bruno Mars. In 2025, you should be sharp enough.

60k tickets sold in 90 mins. If these 60k people went out to local shows weekly to support your local bands and your local venues and your local brands, we could very well be an even bigger industry where being an indie artist can be a sustainable job.
