This is my main criticism with these newer seasons. Every movement feels like it has too much energy behind it, and they feel the need to make over exaggerated faces every other second. Part of the appeal of older SpongeBob was that the weird faces were rare and memorable.

I feel like a lot of people tend to forget that Castlevania, at it’s core, is about Dracula. From beginning to end, the story has always been about Mathias and his feud against the Belmonts. The story has never abandoned this premise.

Happy 20th anniversary to Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, and 20 years to me being a Castlevania fan. This was the game that started it all for me. If it weren’t for me watching my dad play this game back in 2003, I probably wouldn’t be the person I am today.

Fun fact; when drawing Christopher Belmont, I actually modeled him after my dad, whose name also happens to be Christopher. He’s also the one that got me into Castlevania in the first place, so I felt like immortalizing him through my artwork as a Belmont.

Nearly 2 years ago, I was hired to replace all the in-game artwork in Serio’s Castlevania Fighter with portraits that look more akin to Ayami Kojima’s art style. It was a very long process, but it was all worth it in the end!
