BREAKING: Reggae Boyz forward Jalmaro Calvin set to join Scottish Premiership club St. Mirren from Cavalier FC. The 22 year old will join countryman Richard King who made the move in June. Calvin, who scored 21 goals in the JPL last season, is awaiting his work permit.

Late to the party so others have likely done this. What I will say is (hopefully) this could be the start of increased support & investment from the JAAA/government. If not, countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Bahrain will continue to lurk.
.@DannyBeegie would love to see you unpack what the JAAA and gov’t actually provide for Jamaican athletes. Are there structures in place for long-term wellbeing or is it vibes and medals? And how does Jamaica compare to countries with similar athletic dominance?.
