Margaret Atwood went to my high school. She hated it, but it meant we read “The Handmaid’s Tale” in grade 11. I HATED it, as a 16-year-old boy. By the time I was 18, I understood how good it was for me to be exposed to that perspective. Every teenage boy should read that book.

There’s no way to cover the league where you acknowledge that performance doesn’t matter until Labour Day. It’s bad business and kinda stupid. But it’s also the whole truth. The on-field product improves dramatically, the contenders lock-in. We know nothing.
