Here's a scary fact about the energy of boilers; if you stuck a merchant navy boiler vertical at full pressure and stuck a 1 ton weight at the top, the energy released from the boiler would be enough to send that ton weight 50 miles into the sky...!
To show the sheer power of steam: in 1900 outside of Westfield Station, the side sheet on a ger y14 (Lner J15) let go, the resulting explosion ripped the boiler out the frames, catapulted it over the level crossing she was waiting at, and onto the platform on the other side..!!

The Mid Sodor railway had many engines come and go in the 1910's. One of which was an unusual looking side tank, she didn't have an official name, most engines had a nickname after the builder they came from, here we see "The Bagnall" with a short lived logging train in 1913

Beanie was bagnallin' today at the NEC today on one of the modular layouts! She had to hold her breath and hide her face for the whole trip, but she did it!

You know what I find funny about the Iron Duke? They depict him as super super old in the illustration, but Iron Duke is just a replica using J94's boiler and cylinder block. So I'm many regards hes younger than Thomas by quite a margin.

As someone who grew up watching these size of engines barley potter along at 25mph if you were lucky, seeing them going at actual speed for the first time was something else..!

Good news everyone, she has a warming fire in her ready for the steam test tomorrow
So as some of you might have noticed with Big Enfys, she didn't quite look right. This is due to me using the vari kit style cab. Thus making her look very squat in appearance. I've gone back to the drawing board to give her a new cab and she looks instantly better~
