Bit of ādiscourseā in the comments about this. I think itās perfectly acceptable for fans to be happy with just avoiding a relegation battle, but I think the club itself would be disappointed if we werenāt mid table at a bare minimum considering the outlay this summer.
I think avoiding a relegation battle, for this year, constitutes success. Important to remember itās not just about resources, itās also about number of windows. You donāt build a successful team at this level sustainably by signing everyone at once, it takes a bit of time to.
