Another great example of the misunderstanding of the L1 and L2 conversation. L2’s weren’t a mistake - they enable what many want: the ability to create their own networks while still being part of a major economic hub. It’s not about innovating on or scaling the L1.
The monad thesis is that L2s were a mistake and L1s can actually just innovative. People forget that Monad started before Solana became the most used chain. Solana proved the Monad thesis to be correct, but Solana misses the most important piece of the puzzle: EVM compatibility.
