Whilst the goal against Cardiff looked a very simple one, it was another example of how well-drilled this Fulham team are.

In my opinion, the fallout from this and potential repercussions would have been considerably less if we had done what we should have done, and refused to entertain a bid that late. We weren't seriously looking for a replacement, so why dangle the carrot in front of Joao.

I love Mika, he’s such a talented footballer, and a gem of a human. But, as sad as it is, the decision to let him go seems to make sense, can’t see how we fit his talents and associated weaknesses into a Premier League XI that survives. And survival has to take priority

Why do I think it's happening? To me it seems like panicked defending. There's no delegation of duties, no communication, they're not defending as a unit. So as soon as a vaguely dangerous attack starts, all of them take it upon themselves to solve the problem individually (6/9)

Defending is all about being a unit. Solanke is a capable striker, but it doesn't take 6 men to dispossess him. You need organisers, leaders, to communicate who goes to ball and who tracks the runners. And for some reason that either isn't happening, or no-one is listening (7/9)

We have 6 men dealing with 3 Bournemouth players. The problem is, not 1 Fulham player looks at Solanke after he releases the ball. There's only one sensible place for Billing to put that ball, and it's into that red area, trying to find either of his two teammates. (2/9)
