I think this Fulham side are starting to really lack an identity. In previous seasons it was very easy to describe what our game plan was and how we can hurt teams. Right now, I’m really struggling to define who we are without the defining characteristics being negative…

The defence will probably take flak for allowing Everton so many opportunities, particularly crosses towards the back post. But generating 0.4xG in a game like this is really unacceptable. Need to seriously work out how we are going to create attacking opportunities this season

I think Marco Silva needs to become more flexible on how we establish “control” in games. It’s too safe and predictable, relying on players he trusts to follow preset patterns. We need players to be able to do more things off the cuff, based on a feeling. They need unshackling

Personally hope that Fulham don’t tap up Nuno as a potential Marco replacement. He’s a very good manager and wonderful man, but it would be such a big jump in playing style which would likely need an element of squad overhaul. Like Slavisa to Ranieri, I’m wary of moves like this
