Also, those who stayed on slicks appear not to have benefitted. The Manthey and Falken Porsches stayed the course for a while, but were slower than those on wets & cut slicks

I'll always be grateful for @johndagys taking a punt on a third-year archaeology student ahead of the 2018 season. His trust enabled that student to make a career in motorsport. Several other young reporters have also been able to get on the ladder thanks to his opportunities.
