Another great open platform move by Google. Android will get the best of all worlds: a highly secure platform for all, friction-free installation of reputable stores, and the ability to directly install apps from registered developers and (for advanced users) unknown sources.

Google has made an awesome proposal, subject to court approval, to open up Android in the US Epic v Google case and settle our disputes. It genuinely doubles down on Android's original vision as an open platform to streamline competing store installs globally, reduce service fees

Exciting news! Together with Epic Games we have filed a proposed set of changes to Android and Google Play that focus on expanding developer choice and flexibility, lowering fees, and encouraging more competition all while keeping users safe. If approved, this would resolve our

A new user study showed Android users are 58% more likely to report getting zero scam texts in a week vs. iOS users. Experts also agree that Android offers the most comprehensive protection against scams. I'm super proud of the work our teams are doing to keep users safe.

@elonmusk Thx for this. The “where to vote” panel is triggering for some specific searches bc Harris is also the name of a county in TX. Happens for “Vance” too bc it’s also the name of a county. Fix is coming. Note very few people actually search for voting places this way.
