The amount of money Eric Trump (and the rest of the Trump family) is making right now would not be possible if Donald Trump had not been reelected president. Thanks for having me on to talk about it, @ErinBurnett.

Eric Trump is now a billionaire.

It’s not just the president getting rich on crypto. His heirs are now making more money in months than Donald Trump did from decades in real estate.

5/ Also in the files: a tidbit I reported earlier this month, about a missing $1.1M ring that belonged to the wife of billionaire Robert Smith, who rented one of Trump's homes as his federal tax investigation heated up. More on that below.

Robert Smith committed historic tax crimes. Facing federal scrutiny, he moved next door to the president.

4/ In 2021, there was a report of another car stolen, this time a blue Range Rover, at the same Trump house across from Mar-a-Lago. 18 minutes after the call, the report notes "VEH LOCATED AT 1100 SOB." 1100 South Ocean Boulevard is Mar-a-Lago's address.

3/ In 2018, during Trump's first term, someone called to say that six jet skis pulled up on the beach and went into an abandoned house. The caller seemed a bit unsure of which property it was, but the address listed on the report is one of Trump's homes.

2/ In 2020, someone reported a $160,000 Bentley stolen out of the driveway of one of Trump's homes. It doesn't look like the car belonged to Trump. A tenant had borrowed it from a friend, then left the keys in the car and the doors unlocked.

This is why judges cannot agree on how much Trump's fraud should cost him.

It’s difficult to measure the impact of lies. Just ask the justice who called out Trump for fraud Thursday, while handing him a $500 million gift.

Scoop: Robert Smith rented Donald Trump’s mansion, directly next door to Mar-a-Lago, while facing possible indictment in a massive tax-evasion case.

Deep dive on Andrew Cuomo's finances out this morning, by @kylekhanmullins.

His political star soared, collapsed and now may rise again. His finances, though, have been on a steady upward trajectory, thanks to a book deal and a nuclear startup.

Donald Trump lied about the square footage of his properties for years. His underlings now have to figure out how big they actually are.

A court-appointed monitor says the Trump Organization conducted a review to ensure “consistency” in the square footage numbers it reported. Dishonesty, however, is a hard habit to break.

The Trump family touts its “all in” commitment to crypto. Behind the scenes, however, their company has reduced its stake in one of their primary crypto ventures. I have the scoop on the backroom dealing below, thanks to a tip from @Z_Everson.

While the MAGA faithful continues throwing money at Trump’s crypto projects, the first family appears to be walking off with some of its profits.

(2/2) Money quote that sums up the moment: "You have a whole lot of hype," one source told @ninabambysheva. "Being in crypto this long, you're always looking for the next thing that will take us down to our next winter. This definitely has the makings of something like that.".
