We eloped! Niagara Falls 10/10/18

Congratulations to all of the candidates who have put their name forward to represent their towns in the municipal sector. It's a huge commitment, and a tough gig sometimes - I know all about it - but it's such an important role and it's great to see so many awesome candidates!.

Had a lovely evening on the deck at The Stone Ducky in Bay Bulls this evening. Service was wonderful, food was delicious as always - and I can tell you the bake apple-pineapple-BBQ wings were divine!

Nothing like spending the morning with @SamWhiffen while my grandmothers recipe for molasses raisin bread bakes in the oven, Brings back memories of wonderful summer Sunday’s so long ago.

Did you know all of my candle embeds are custom created? First I make a clay model of the item I want, then I create a silicone mold around it. Here is a cinnamon roll I made this morning for delicious new candles I have coming this fall!

Treated ourselves to a late supper takeout at Arbour Restaurant in Bay Bulls tonight. Wings, McArbour flatbread and steak wonton nachos. The level of deliciousness was off the charts! So good! Check them out local friends! You will not regret it!.

Fall update for all of my lovely twitter friends who come out to get my candles!

As always, I enjoyed working with my good friend, local author Chris Ryan, to create a book cover that brings his latest story to life. I also participated as a content editor so I've had the opportunity to read the book. It's a great story that will keep you guessing!

We had a camping trip planned for this week, but given the current wildfires we decided to stay home and stay out of the way. Camping in the front yard and lawn darts (vintage 70s ones!) it is!

Twitter friends - looking for some help. I'm having a function this Sunday and I need to order some party trays (sandwiches, cheese, etc). Would love to hear some of your favourites! Does Costco do anything like that?.

It's really great to see the provincial government recognize firefighters - many of whom are volunteers. Too many depts are terribly underfunded, in some cases members are wearing out of date suits and using expired equipment. Lets translate appreciation into better funding.

Big shout out to the Witless Bay Volunteer Fire Department, who implemented a fire ban for our region this past weekend. I miss my campfires as much as the next person, but given what we're seeing now, I'm very grateful they had the diligence and courage to make that call.

Thank you to the fine folks at the Colony of Avalon in Ferryland for the opportunity to partner with them to create a line of custom candles celebrating the Colony's fascinating history! These will be available in their gift shop in the coming few days!

Unfortunately illegal dumping is seeing a dramatic increase in the Southern Shore area, and while I obviously don't condone it, it comes back to the poor management and draconian policies of an out of touch Eastern Regional Services Board. Witless Bay Line this morning:

Checking MUNSUs twitter for any info regarding the recent events at MUN I was surprised to find myself blocked. I am one of those 11000 students they claim to represent & have paid union dues (part time) for years. Will they also refuse to accept dues from me come September?.
