Recently, DIS 4th graders participated in a multidisciplinary activity where they were required to develop a store for 2nd graders to shop at. Through this activity, students learned all about business techniques, money, personal finance and advertising. #theDISdifference

Today, DIS Elementary students celebrated our 17th annual Rite Race, benefitting Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Our 1st-4th grade students ran around a small portion of our Churchill Campus with their peers cheering them on. #theDISdifference #internationaleducation

Yesterday, Churchill students celebrated Cinco de Mayo early with a free-dress day and a dance presentation put on by 1st-4th graders. Students welcomed a mariachi band to open the presentation, followed by dance performances to traditional Mexican music. #theDISdifference

DIS recently welcomed back our 2nd graders from a field trip to Camp Tyler. While there, students enjoyed participating in various activities, such as team-building games, learning about local plant and animal wildlife, stargazing and survival exercises. #theDISdifference

Recently, 5th grade students who took last year's DELF exam received their official diplomas issued by the Ministry of Education of France in a special ceremony. Students celebrated the passing of this French proficiency exam which is a major milestone in French education.

Yesterday, several members of our HS swim team attended the TAPPS State Championship Swim Meet. We would like to congratulate all of our swimmers who gave their all in the pool. A big congratulations to Sophia Smith who took home the state title in the 100 yard backstroke.

We recently welcomed father of 4th grade student, Edward Hsia. Mr. Hsia visited our 4th grade class to teach students about the Lunar New Year (also known as the Lantern Festival), how the lunar cycle works in Chinese culture & many traditions associated with this important day.
