AI stock bubble is spilling into a narrative bubble for sure. Everyone is either hypnotized by AI and its capabilities, or terrified of it. In reality, AI will kill some low level tasks and jobs, but it’ll create new roles, new leverage and new winners. Small companies won’t die

I tried out Google Antigravity IDE and I’m impressed. It’s better than OpenAI codex seems like. Vibe coding will become a real profession in a few years, it’s scary.

Another CloudFlare outage today. This kind of stuff happens too often at this point. CloudFlare had a stellar reputation not too long ago, and now I’m thinking I’d avoid using their products at all cost. Why are all these outages happening so often? I doubt it’s because people

Multi region AWS EKS with global AWS RDS sounds like a must have at this point

AWS EKS had an outage in us-East-1 earlier. There were errors on APIs, but luckily only lasted ~30 min. I’m worried that outages are happening more often lately, or maybe we’re paying closer attention now more than ever

🟦 Strong engineering teams embrace conflict and know how to resolve it. At Viaanix we expect disagreement in code reviews, architecture debates, and roadmaps. The rule is simple: attack the problem, not the person. Healthy conflict is how you ship better products and keep the

🟦 We rarely throw old PCBs away. They’re a reminder of the projects we built over the years, and honestly they can be super useful. Sometimes we pull components for POCs or quick fixes; sometimes we just keep them around because each board is a reminder of the problems we solved

🟥 Teaching ReMow to move on its own. Dual linear actuators driven by a Python script. This is the first step towards full autonomous mowing.

🟦 AWS WAF is quietly saving VX Olympus every day. This is last 7 days of traffic: bots hitting our APIs from countries where we don’t even have customers. Without WAF those requests would hammer our endpoints and slow every dashboard. Security in IoT isn’t optional. #IoT

🟥 ReMow radio fail (and fix) I'm a big LoRa/LoRaWAN fan, so I first used a LoRa Serial link between base and rover. It couldn’t keep up with the telemetry rate. It dropped packets and was very laggy. Then I switched to 915 MHz SiK telemetry radios by Holybro → rock solid.

🟦 Using Power Profiler Kit to profile sleep current on our BLE & LoRaWAN trackers. Sleep current is where battery life is won or lost and optimizing sleep current is the key in IoT.

🟦 Smart Toolbox that we made for United Rentals was named one of Construction Equipment Magazine’s 100 best new products in 2025. Very proud of our team and what we accomplished 💪 This product was patented by United Rentals and it’s already changing the way construction

🟥 My soldering today looks like it survived a small explosion. Helping hands didn’t help much at all, this joint is totally hideous, but it works perfectly🤷♂️ Sometimes ugly but functional is more than enough to keep the project going forward. I'll take it.

🟦 Today we hooked up the Rigol scope to monitor the electrical profile when a door unlocks on our Smart Toolbox. It’s a simple operation on the outside, scan RFID card on the keypad, and door opens, but internally a lot happens in a few milliseconds: • actuator inrush current
