Yesterday we announced a landmark deal to support the future of Queensland’s copper industry in Mount Isa and Townsville. At the forefront of this deal is the boiler makers, the diesel fitters, the technicians and the contractors who make these facilities tick.

We’re supporting regional jobs, restoring confidence and delivering North and North-West Queenslanders a better lifestyle through a stronger economy. 👷🏽

This deal is about standing with them, because we back Mount Isa, we back our metals processing sector and we back the hard-working Queenslanders who keep our economy strong.

This support package is a capital investment into the facilities, alleviating immediate pressures on the facility and reinforcing our position as a key global supplier of copper in an increasingly competitive market.
