My theory is it took heavy lifting from the Chitpavans to organise the maratha state, and the stress was so great that the later Peshwas showed signs of early aging and illness . Too much stress led to the downfall but that is often the cost of leading dravidians.

Muh genetics is the only cope for these Rajus. While these so called genetically gifted Rajus were literal losers and were limited to 4 gaav zamindari.
It’s easy to make fun of these people , but marching out of Maharashtra, conquering central India, and reaching Delhi was genuinely impressive. How did a people so genetically mid pull this off? I’ve hardly read clear accounts of how they organized their armies.
