Today’s Muppets of the Day are Crumbs Unlimited!. Named for Barry White’s backup singing group, Crumbs Unlimited provided vocals for several Sesame Street songs in the 1970s and 80s. Their resume includes disco and R&B songs, genres emerging in the years preceding their debut.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is Sandy!. Sandy was created for the unproduced 1990 series “Little Mermaid’s Island”. She and her brother Flounder take starring roles in the episode “Tell the Truth”, where they try to cover up having spilled Ariel’s pearl collection.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is Monsieur Le Pat-a-Cake!. Starring in the Mother Goose Stories version of “Pat-a-Cake”, Pat is assigned to bake a cake for the King. The high-stress job is not helped by Pat’s controlling nature, but he and his staff are rewarded for their hard work.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is the Pig Baby. The youngest of the Muppet Show’s pigs first appeared in season two. Usually a member of the pig chorus, the baby appeared independently in the Brooke Shields episode, playing the Duchess’s cursed child.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is the Danceros!. Kermit introduces the Danceros in the Jim Nabors episode of The Muppet Show, having been told he is a favorite act of J.P. Grosse. His dancing to “Bye Bye Blues”, alas, ends early after he trips over himself.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is Chad!. First seen in the Sesame Street song “Let’s Lay an Egg”, Chad was named in the first episode of “The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo”. There, he delivers a letter for Elmo, appropriate for the forthcoming “Snail Mail” bit.

Today‘s Muppet of the Day is the Banana!. A talking banana was the first of what became known as the Singing Food, being seen as early as the Joel Grey episode of The Muppet Show. Though rarely seen, the funny fruit did seem to have a liking for banana-themed jokes and puns.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is the Delivery Man!. A dreary-eyed delivery man first appeared on Sesame Street in episode 691, dragging along an ocean liner for Oscar. He resurfaced a few times over the next two seasons, always on a mission but seldom aware of his surroundings.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is Joey!. Joey, a resident of the apartment above Hooper’s Store, first appeared in installments of “Power of We Club”, produced by Sesame Workshop in 2023. He later made a cameo at the Sesame Street laundromat in the show’s Season 54 premiere.

The role of Lew was originated by Jerry Nelson, who described him as a “tribute to Frankie Fontaine” in 2009. The role has since been passed to Matt Vogel, who continues to perform Lew to this day.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is Lew Zealand!. Lew Zealand’s first Muppet Show appearance came in the Marisa Berenson episode, showing his “boomerang fish” act to an uninterested Kermit. The act proves pivotal at the end of the episode, saving Kermit from being tricked into marriage.

Today’s Muppet of the Day is the White-Tufted Floozle Bird!. The Floozle Bird discovers her nest is missing in a season 2 Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss episode. She finds it was taken by Morton and Junior but, finding they had no ill intentions, helps them build a nest for Morton.
