Yet another Saturday without Bleach! So have this:
Byakuya: "Don't hold back Renji, they're no match against our Bankai"
Äs Nödt after stealing Byakuya's Bankai:
Tartar Foras is likely a reference to the ancient Greek/Roman mythology of 'Tartaros,' the worst part of the underworld, effectively Hell, where sinners are judged. In the Bible the Tartaros is referenced as the prison of the Fallen Angels.
Wondering about Äs Nödt's nails... Does he maintain them himself? Do they have different bottles of black nail polish? Can they retract like a cat's? Are they the reason for wearing fingerless gloves in the fight against Rukia, because he couldn't fit them into regular ones?
Äs Nödt's "crown" looks similar to the Christian crown of thorns, which was placed on Jesus' head before crusification. It's a symbol of royalty, meant as a form of mockery. It's also for a long time been a symbol of suffering in Christian mythology.
