This year, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a semester at Prof. Prasad’s lab (ILPB, @UBuffalo). Thanks to Dr. Pranay Ranjan & Dr. Raviraj for this academic experience. I also recevied IACUC-certified animal training. 🧪❄️🌿 #AcademicExchange #Gratitude #Nanomedicine

Science is not a career. Science is lifestyle because you might think you are on a road trip with your family, but actually you are thinking about that one research paper that had mind boggling results and that one experiment you didn't understand at the time.

What's a hands-on course if you don't get your hands dirty on Day one? We profiled our soil samples to type them by various properties, literally getting our hands dirty! Something is cooking, where we get snapshots of soil properties, stay tuned for more !

@bacteriophile Our isolation plates from Day 2 grew plenty of isolates, some already showing antimicrobial activity in a crowded plate. And now, the screening begins to find some antimicrobial producers !

@iitjodhpur One of the most awaited experiments of the course: Using the iChip to recover in-situ cultured bacteria. We sampled interesting sites in the IITJ campus to seed our iChips.
