My guess is that the rangers could not justify the addition of a bat to Davis because of the money that they spent on burger and joc in the off season. Pitching was an easier sell because of the way it helped us over the hump in 23.
#Rangers majority owner Ray Davis permitted the Rangers to go over the luxury-tax threshold to get help at the trade deadline. So, good.

The Rangers today announced that the club has acquired RHP Phil Maton from St. Louis in exchange for minor league RHP Skylar Hales, LHP Mason Molina, and intl. bonus pool money. To make room for Maton on the 40-man roster, OF Dustin Harris has been designated for assignment.
