ਇਹ ਸਲਵਾ੍ਹੜ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਜਾਂ ਭਲਕ ਸੜ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਭਸਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਣੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੀ ਮਾਰੂ-ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਂਝ-ਪਰਤ… Every organic entity: Nations, Cultures, Societies are in the process of dissolving. Favor all the degenerative forces to hasten the end of the cycle.

A sikh youth was killed on Dusherra eve by migrants. Also Ludhiana witnessed H-M scuffle among migrants - first of its kind. Migration has brought demographic, cultural, and security risks to Punjab which have started surfacing now.

This calamity was indeed a trial of Sikh sovereignty in miniature. In absence of adequate state response, Sikh institutions stepped in as de facto institutions of governance & showed how Sikh sovereignty might look in practice.

In view of the SGPC’s recent and active participation in flood relief, next time pause before joining the flood of hostile screeds directed against it. Critique should be exercised with care: sharpening the institution from within, not hollowing it out for others to occupy.

For what do we cast our votes, if leaders and authorities abandon people to their fate when calamities strike? If this is not colonized approach towards Punjab then what else it is ?
