My latest project is a Paranormal Activity game. I am beyond excited to be doing this as I have loved this series from the very beginning and it heavily shaped my style of horror.
Lots of work to do! Follow to stay up to date!

If you are a horror dev, I highly recommend following John Wolfe.
He's played so many horror games and has a rather accurate understanding of what goes into making one with an ability to quantify what is successful and not in the games he plays. It's helpful info for sure.
Finally! I don't have to be all secretive anymore :D
This is my current project. Don't worry MA will still receive its love and I have much deeper plans for the series.
This, however, was entirely too important to me to pass up as it shaped much of my taste in horror today.
This is one of the big things I wanted to talk about but couldn't. I am an executive producer on the film adaptation of The Mortuary Assistant. This is a dream come true. Never imagined MA would bring me to this. Love you all and see you at PAX!
It’s time to give away something terrifyingly cute! Here's a chance to win 1 of 2 Mimic Plushies! 🥳

Thank you to everyone who has been givign positive reviews of MA! Recent reviews just passed into Overwhelmingly Positive and that's just insane to me! Thank you thank you! You all are the best!🖤
Pressing that little green launch button in an hour and 15 minutes. Launching a game is surreal because you never feel done. You just hope people like what you have.
Been working on it for 2 years and I hope you all enjoy it. Get ready for some launch day twitter spam from me!
The Mortuary Assistant has a release date!
Check out the trailer below to find out when to report to the mortuary.
Put your best foot forward, and you might survive your shift 💀💀💀
Big announcement! Some may have heard that things have changed at my publisher DreadXP.
The previous management has parted ways with the company. In light of this, myself alongside
@BondHunterBond
will be stepping up into the positions as Co-Managers of DreadXP.
Are we still getting a film adaptation of
#TheMortuaryAssistant
? I really hope so! It’s seriously one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had playing a game.
@DSDigitalDev
created a terrifying world and I need to see more of it!
This little button has been pressed. 2 Years of my life is out for everyone to see.
I hope you enjoy it! $25 with a 10% launch discount. $22.50
Please give it a try and leave a review! It means the world to me.

You know what? Sure. If somehow someone gets Markiplier to notice. I will absolutely take the time to model him and add him to the rotation of bodies to embalm. I'll even setup some
@markiplier
specific scares.
I have no way to get in touch but if the stars align. I'll do it.
I'm a horror game dev. I only ever talk about gamedev and horror. Now all I see is Elon and political stuff no matter how much I block or mute. That's not my purpose here.
Maybe it's because of the current visibility of it all but at this moment this platform isn't very useful.
I think this Halloween update is going to be fun. I'll most likely be splitting it into two updates. One for the bulk of the Halloween stuff and another with a first pass of a new graphics settings menu.
#TheMortuaryAssistant
I just finished my new game Our Secret Below! I'll be launching on Steam and July 10th. I'm proud of the fact I made everything myself from art to code. It's been a long year. I'm both nervous and extremely excited!

It's time! The campaign is live and you can now order a Mimic plushie from makeship!
It is funding based so if the goal is met, the plushie goes into production!

Hey! If you're at
#PAXWest
and think you've got some embalming skills, come over to the DreadXP booth! The first person to embalm the tutorial body in 3 minutes or less will win a Mortuary Assistant poster and I'll even sign it if you want!
@DreadXPGames
Hey! Sorry, I've been super distracted and busy with bug fixing and just making sure MA has a solid launch. I've been getting asked about price a lot.
MA is going to be $25 with a 10% launch discount bringing it to $22.50 on launch day.
Hope this is helpful info to people!
Hoping to get a new body in just for fun before my trip but I don't know if I'll make it with other things to do. I'm going to be basically non-internet for a week. Well, only enough to basically use twitter and email so no patches. I'll see what I can do
#TheMortuaryAssistant
In my almost 17 years of working in game development this may be my most stressful and exciting month ever.
As a solo developer, it's surreal. There's a lot of crazy stuff I'm getting to do thanks to The Mortuary Assistant. AAA was a great time but this is blood sweat and tears.
Hey! I'm deep in development leading up to the launch of MA so I've been pretty distracted.
But I've been seeing so much love and support for my work that I just want to throw a thank you out into the void.
It means a whole lot to me and I hope you enjoy the finished game 🖤
It's been an extremely eventful day. Lots of bug fixing. all kinds of new, awesome people talking about the game. I feel very fortunate and thank you so much for supporting and playing my work. I'm headed to bed. Grab MA and be sure to leave a review! 🖤
My only request starting tomorrow other than "have a good time" is to please leave a review for MA. That stuff makes a big BIG difference on Steam.
Just something to keep in the back of your mind 🖤
I'm hoping to grow the wishlists for The Mortuary Assistant. Do you think the internet can do its thing and help spread the word about the new demo?
This game is something I'm really pouring myself into and I hope others get to experience it.
Today we announced XP Ultra and its first title Flathead.
The XP Ultra program is wildly important to me personally.
When Hunter and I agreed to co-direct DreadXP, we wanted to keep the spirit of the collections without the issues that came with them behind the scenes. (1/4)
Current patch work:
- New bodies
- New haunt events
Game customization menu for changes like non-story mode, toggle random item distribution, and more. It will start small but will grow over time.
Pass out time! Unless something horrible happens I think the build is locked.
I'm sure there will be some issues. There always are. But I think it's in a good spot.
Hey all. I am currently sick with covid. I've had a number of DMs and various requests and I want to just put out there that I am not currently able to respond much or work on the game. I hope to back up and running in a few days.
The Mortuary Assistant - TEASER DEMO: Perform embalmings, handle the various jobs around the mortuary, and exercise demonic forces. All in a day’s work.

I always see it in the corner of my eye. Watching me. When I finally have the courage to face it, it's gone. An evanescent nightmare... but a cute one.

@Makeship
Thank you everyone! It's funded! They are going to be made!
There is still plenty of time to grab yours before the campaign is over!
Thank you again! You all make me so happy!🖤
Trying to piece something together. Would anyone be interested in watching myself and the voice actors from The Mortuary Assistant watch the new ending live and talk a bit about the work that went into it?
My gooooood I can finally stop hiding it! As my patrons know, I said I had signed with a publisher. That publisher is
@DreadXP_
. After a LOT of different interviews, I found Dread to be the most inline with my values and love for indie horror. Cool things to come!
I have used
#UnityEngine
for about 10 years in both AAA and indie. The Mortuary Assistant is built in Unity and I have another major project coming.
While I am currently heavily intertwined with
@unity
for my projects I will be exploring alternatives.
#Unreal
#GodotEngine
& more
So I need a very small VO role for Book of Blood coming up in the DreadX collection of a dude who can scream bloody murder. If you go that goin on, slide into DMs. Paid as always just tell me rates.
#VoiceActors
TL;DR There have been issues porting. They are fixed.
Porting to all consoles first half of next year with a new fun plan!
I wanted to do the text image with a logo on it because everyone does that and I want to be cool like the rest of you.
I met the coolest demon at
#PAXEast
@xXAutumnIvyXx
is the Vallery, the demon, and Rebecca's mother in MA if you somehow didn't know who this amazing person is.
If you enjoy the voice acting in MA. Please follow.
@melissamedinavo
- Rebecca
@AdamBennettVO
- Raymond
@xXAutumnIvyXx
- demon
@EileenAnglinVO
- grandma/demon
They are fantastically talented, amazing to work with, with beautiful voices and quality. They did an amazing job!
Alright! v1.0.46 is live with the Halloween content and the new game settings and graphics menus! The Halloween content will click on when you play on October 1st!

Here's my general maintenance plan. No specific time-frame.
Bug Fixing
⬇️
Minor game-play adjustments/smoothing
⬇️
Additional dead bodies & haunting events
⬇️
Additional haunting events & story exploration
⬇️
Story event free mode (just hauntings)
⬇️
Embalming only mode
⚠️ Sadly, I am having to put the new MA ending on hold. I am waiting for a few vital things and am not able to proceed until then.
For now, I will put my focus into new project ideas.
As for MA, I will switch over to my main branch and focus on new bodies and haunt events.
I said before that one of my desires working as Dread co-Director was to make sure we didn't take credit for development.
A lot of publishers will let you believe that they make games they publish because it sounds cool.
DreadXP highlights the developers. That means a lot.🖤
Remember while you talk about Paranormal Activity:
-
@DSDigitalDev
is the developer
- We are the publisher
We don't make the games, we do all sorts of other stuff.
This is a really cool connection. I used the prep room in her video as reference for the embalming room in the original prototype and I expanded on it for the full game. It's so cool she found the game!
Finally updating my rig. Been about 6 or 7 years maybe. Haven't been able to until now so thank you for your support in playing MA 🖤
Everything glows these days.
I'm still writing scripts but it can take a while to find the right voice so I'm putting feelers out for Rebecca Owens, the main character of The Mortuary Assistant. If you think you or someone you know may be a fit, please DM me or tag them!
Project:
Today is LOTS of playing MA and making sure I'm done with the major fixing and polishing but mainly just making sure everything feels as good as it can.
@DSDigitalDev
Mortuary Assistant is one of the single greatest indie horror games ever created, the dev is clearly one of the best there is. So that begs the question, when can we expect the next game from you? Waiting with bated breath
