We are proud to have joined this inspiring show of worker power. And we’ll keep showing up until AFT, CSEA, and AFSCME win the fair and equitable contracts they deserve. 📣

Dozens of union members and community allies delivered powerful testimony about skyrocketing costs, rising District revenues, and the urgent need for fair wages. As AFSCME 829 President Joseph Puckett said “in this fight we are not three unions, we are one big union.”

When the Board and Chancellor tried to shut down public comment on negotiations, the workers refused to back down and won the right to be heard.

The Board tried to silence workers. Solidarity won. Last night, Peninsula DSA stood shoulder-to-shoulder with our comrades in AFT 1493, CSEA 33, and AFSCME 829 as they packed the SMCCD Board meeting to demand fair contracts.

Between a "No Other Land" crew mate filming himself being killed by a settler, to a journalist being killed by airstrikes he was covering minutes earlier, I'm not sure how much more televised Israel's genocide can be

Not that matters but here is just a small sampling this huckster dipshit would never address much less defend
The difference between Right-wing populism and Left-wing populism lies in how you view labor. Trump views it as inherently dignified and worth protecting, while the Left-wing populists view it as humiliating and the job of illegal migrants. Immigration is always the tell.

Has anyone noticed how shoddy the genocide denial is, in terms of legal/historical scholarship. I rarely see these people actually try to make an argument, they just say “nope not a genocide” and move on. I’ve seen few treatises trying to flesh that argument out. I wonder why?
@alexjordanATL libel is a legal term. still false, yes. people like you struggle with the fact that there's a lot of ground between fine and genocide.

Marx writing in the 1840s...
OpenAI's Sam Altman: "There are cases where entire classes of jobs will go away... Like, all throughout history, we have these new technologies come along and people say this is the end of work, this is the end of jobs. It turns out people seem to want unlimited stuff."

Buddy perhaps see how your first clause (mindless as it is) may be related to the second clause. Namely that “Israel’s right to defend itself” is a slogan that—despite not involving a spooky Arabic word—has followed 1000X more killing and maiming than any evocation of “intifada”
I’ve always supported Israel’s right to exist and defend itself. That hasn’t changed. But supporting this government’s actions—allowing children to starve and firing on civilians seeking food—is something I can’t stand by. This isn’t self-defense. It must stop.

Read this very carefully: *One quarter* of all the people who have died of starvation in Gaza over the past 22 months have died in the past *3 days*
