A little busier morning for the baker's dozen O'Brien horses here for this year's Breeders' Cup, going through their regular jog and canter session but breaking up the routine with a schooling session at the gate as well on Day 2 over the Del Mar main track.

Right behind the Forever Young team came Alice Verite for Distaff working solo 4F 24.78 49.19 switched leads a bit late near mild-stretch while also well reserved to finish. Out 5/8 in 1:03.18.

Forever Young turns in his final breeze for the Classic in company with Sprint contender American Stage 4F 26.89 50.81 out 1:03.68 broke 2 back, held edge to wire while finishing with good energy under a strong hold. American Stage timed in 26.88 51.59 out 1:04.27.

Journalism in beast mode this morning galloping at a two minute clip much of the way before easing up after 1 1/4 miles. Dorth Vader out on track at the same time had another good morning herself, under a tight hold wanting to do more coming down the lane.

Only one official published work on the turf went to Aspect Island who flew down the home straight from the 1/4 pole in 23.39 for Juvenile Turf Sprint. Buccano Fuerte(Turf Sprint) came down the lane in 25.61 after galloping very strongly to top of stretch as did Silawi((Turf).

A ton of action on the turf at 7:15 this morning including 6 for trainer Charles Appleby led by Rebels Romance who two minute licked around the wide dogs, came down lane in 26.62 on left lead but with his ears up and moving nicely over the course.

A couple of notable 3 furlong blow outs here earlier by Switch In Love(Juvenile Fillies Turf) and Be Your Best. The former in 36.93 shading :23 for final quarter, the latter hard, hard held in 36.79 out 49.39 while continuing to look sharp prepping for Filly and Mare Turf.

Team O'Brien including 8 horses for Aiden and another 5 from the barns of sons Joseph and Donnache on parade for 1st time at Del Mar first jogging and then cantering one mile. Lion in Winter led the way and did get pretty hot in the coat on what has been a fairly chilly morning.

An early morning once again for trainer Todd Pletcher's Classic trio with Antiquarian leading the parade today followed close behind by Mindframe and Fierceness. All appear to have weathered the cross country trip in good order.

Straight No Chaser, Bentornato and Mullikin, the first 3 across the wire in the 2024 Sprint back again this year, all out to train at virtually the same time shortly after track opened at 5:30 where they were joined by one of their main challengers, the speedy filly Kopion.

White Abarrio certainly not the smoothest mover in the a.m. on a regular basis prior to & since shipping locally for Dirt Mile although his breezes the past several weeks at Gulfstream Park have been strong. Recall was under scrutiny from the vets prior to winning Classic in 2023

One other BCup worker after the break, the Distaff bound Sarawak Rim 4F 25.31 49.46 1:01.78 galloped out willingly while off the rail into the clubhouse turn.

In contrast to her stable mate Sovereignty's breeze an hour earlier, Scylla(Distaff) was absolutely loaded this a.m., zipped 4F 23.96 46.94 did it easily, galloped out 5F 59.69 with Neil Poznansky in the saddle on her as well.

Nothing flashy, as expected, just a little leg stretcher for Sovereignty's final breeze for the Breeders' Cup Classic, 4F 12.95 25.06 49.83 out 1:03.28 with assistant trainer Neil Poznansky aboard.

Love seeing Dorth Vader(Distaff) right back to the track following her impressive breeze here yesterday showing off plenty of energy galloping by the grandstand just moments ago.

Trainer Todd Pletcher's Breeders' Cup Classic trio, Fierceness, Antiquarian and Mindframe waste little time getting over the Del Mar strip after arriving on Sunday, the trio galloping an easy mile, single file, in that order, shortly before 6:00 a.m.

Florida invader Lennilu loving the cooler weather on the west coast, was full of herself open galloping here this morning, looking like a very serious contender going up against the boys in the Juvenile Turf Sprint.

Alice Verite, who finished 4th behind Thorpedo Anna in the 2024 Distaff, is back to try again this year and looked like a mare to keep an eye on after dragging her rider around galloping this a.m., completing final 3F in 38.80 despite fanning out to middle of track into stretch.

Forever Young spent quite a bit of time out on the track this morning starting with another relatively easy gallop and ending with a schooling session at the starting gate.
