I hate generalizing but yeah I don't think we're in for a good future in any corner of the internet, seems like people just want to go for each other's throats at every opportunity on a constant 24 hour cycle. Can't imagine living so fucking miserably

I'm happy I grew up just before the cutoff years of internet enshitification, a lot of people who grew up after those years online seem to struggle with thinking in extremely black and white ways about the dumbest fucking things, and loving pointless crusades and internet drama

Guess the game
Nintendo Just released a new patent for new adapters to the Nintendo Switch 2 joy-cons for better use of the shoulder buttons when playing with one joy-con. Patent 2: Shows a new game battle system mechanic in place. I'll let you fill in the blank on the game.

The disappearance phenomena being caused by the will of people is also clear with how it activates in Xenoblade X I think. Void summoned the Ghost with his experiment on the "Zohar", and whenever Void is close to the Ares cores it triggers the disappearance phenomena

One of the biggest changes to Xenosaga's story (out of many) is also what Gnosis are I think. In the original story they seem to be pretty closely linked to the disappearance phenomena, and with Xenoblade X, it's pretty clear that they're also trying to link the Ghost to it too

I also think Xenoblade's next story will finally delve more into it, reviving the story about what happened on Lost Jerusalem and how the Zohar functions. To me it always seemed clear that the reason Earth was lost has to do with the Zohar responding to the will of humanity

Gonna write my additional thoughts here that I wasn't able to include in the original post. I think the story about the disappearance phenomenon was one of the plotpoints removed from Xenosaga once they simplified the story for XS2, being simplified to Wilhelm sealing off Earth
