This was one of the things I admired about my spouse. At 26/27 years he already had a bungalow he called home, though sparsely furnished. It didn't matter. We had home.
His mum was his greatest support person when he wanted to purchase the property.
My parents broke up when I was 10 after 11 years of marriage and 4 kids. It had to happen because their living conditions didn't make sense and it led to a lot of conflicts between my mum and her inlaws (my grandfather, his wife and others.) My father didn't move away from home.
