What’s worse?.When I asked students what they’re really getting in return… it wasn’t better learning. It was the same curriculum, same teaching style — just packaged with flashy decor, branded uniforms, and “aesthetic” projects for parents to complete.

I couldn’t stop thinking: how does a family earning ₹50k/month manage ₹35k+ on just tuition — excluding school fees, books, uniforms?. How is this sustainable?

Curious, I asked him how much he charges 9th grade students. He said: “₹1300/month.”. I was shocked. “Isn’t that too much for a local setup?”.He replied: “The actual tuition rates here are ₹35–40k/year. I’m trying to keep it affordable.”

A friend of mine runs a small home tuition with 70+ students. He’s always been passionate about teaching, and he’s doing it in the simplest way — one room, a board, and a lot of dedication.
