The ITSS team recently held a ‘Meet and Resolve’ session at the Downcounty Service Center to help our customers with AE-related issues, computers, tablets, phones, printers, and network/WiFi connectivity. It was a productive meeting. Thank you for coming!.

DMO completed the conversion of all schools from heating to cooling. The effort required to make this happen is commendable amidst all of the A/C emergency issues that occurred during this transition period. Kudos to the various teams involved!.

We have encountered several challenges related to increased temperatures: power outages, gas smells, and A/C emergencies. Despite these circumstances, our dedicated maintenance teams responded swiftly and effectively to restore normal operations. Thank you, teams!.

DMO, Parks, and DFN hosted this year’s ‘Bring Your Child to Work Day'. Many children joined us and learned how all three organizations maintain safe and clean learning environments. They also shared happy insightful moments with their parents as the day continued.

DMO hosted an AE training for the Division of Design & Construction (DDC) staff last week. The training focused on understanding AE basic concepts and best practices and how to create work orders track and view open work orders.

AE Update: Asset Essentials' latency issues were definitely impacting our users. Brightly met with our ITSS team to troubleshoot. We are happy to report that these issues should be resolved! If you are still experiencing issues, contact our call center at 240-740-2300.

Email Retention Update Policy: As of February 12, 2024, MCPS staff email will be retained for 3 years from their creation/receipt unless deleted from your inbox and your deleted folder. This applies to MCPS email accounts in Microsoft (@mcpsmd.org) and Google (@mcpsmd.net).

Brightly released v 2.34.1 for the AE mobile app. With it comes several performance and UI improvements. For this release, you will experience improved Work Order Details form load time and more sort options for the Work Order, Asset, and Part sections. We recommend upgrading!.

DMO will participate in the Summer RISE program again this year! This is a hands-on, career-based learning experience for rising juniors and seniors and helps employers cultivate a talent pipeline. We hope to host some of the next generation’s trades workers!.

In January, 9 school assessment inspections occured, as required by the state’s IAC commission. These inspections require a flurry of preporatory and post-inspection activities. Kudos to all teams involved in ensuring inspections run smoothly.
