I feel like this is a move that they’re making to compete moving forward into next year because they gave up five draft picks. I feel like If you’re gonna give up that many draft picks during a rebuild I imagine it’s to position yourself for a move to contend

Vancouver has won 4 games at home all year and dead last in the league in GAA. If the capitals can’t win this game with their season very much in jeopardy, it’s time to make some hard decisions and look towards the future.
