£600m later and still clinging to a broken system they planned to bin in 2012. Must’ve missed the ‘how to procure tech’ module. Horizon wasn’t just faulty – turns out so was the procurement team. BBC News - Post Office paid £600m to continue using Horizon https://t.co/AAHuyOrJh5

3/3 This new funding offers the NHS a valuable chance for real change. However, NHSE leadership must be accountable for meeting KPIs and delivery deadlines. Only by ensuring funds are used effectively to deliver real outcomes will we see real improvements for patients.

2/3 Too often, NHS funds are funnelled into costly consultancies without improving patient care. Lean six sigma in NHSE could better streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies. Real impact won’t come from spending alone but from cutting waste and boosting performance.

1/3 In tough financial times, the Chancellor’s NHS funding boost is welcome, supporting much-needed upgrades and productivity tech. But the NHS has a longstanding issue with waste. If this investment is to benefit patients, it needs tighter controls and clear accountability.

I agree with one quote from this report - "Liz Truss remains one of the most unpopular politicians in the UK". Given the many bad politicians in the UK that is quite some accolade. BBC News - Liz Truss targets 'secret Tories' with new campaign https://t.co/fCVtV1mNUO

So in other words a policy that says you cannot use WhatsApp for work related conversations. So they need an IM platform for public sector. At least it would make people think twice about what they say in the threads.

Anyone working in a public office who needs to IM colleagues should do so on a platform where the conversation is secure and confidential BUT can be retrieved if needed - e.g. inquiry BBC News - Nicola Sturgeon's reputation on the line at UK Covid inquiry https://t.co/PrdDar0kzz

This is a serious miscarriage of justice & people will need to be held accountable. From a tech perspective I would like to see the test report... " basic development work has been thoroughly evaluated by independent experts.." really? #PostOffice #PostOfficeScandal

Income tax rises in Scotland. PAYE earners in senior positions always seem to pay the price. Maybe take a look at self-employed - time they paid more in my opinion. BBC News - Scottish Budget: Higher earners to pay more income tax https://t.co/6Oy9XL51ao
