When I finally woke up I went to Bryan's room to tell him some guy named Feral called. He goes "oh shit, that was Pharrell" My friend Bryan worked at a sneaker shop on Haight called the Dinostore and gave P our number and said to call if he needed any shoe and to just ask./

The only time I spoke to Pharrell, he called my home phone. This was around 2001 He asked if my friend Bryan was home. I had only come home from a DJ gig 5-6hrs ago. I asked, who's this? He said "Pharrell" I said that he was sleeping and to call back and hung up on him./

When I went on tour w/ Seattle's Boom Bap Project in 1999, Jake One was their producer. He used a '93 ASR-10. In '05 when I exec produced AG's-Get Dirty Radio, I hired Jake One. Again he used the ASR-10 And he STILL uses it. You don't need the latest gear to make great beats.
