Last night our team of MacKenzie and Emily took part in the first round of the Donald Dewar debating competition. The girls delivered great speeches and are through to the next round. Thank you to our supporters who came along.@DunfermlineHS

Today we held our Remembrance Assemblies. We had a wonderful group of pupils who contributed poems, art work, local stories and animations. All pupils involved helped to highlight the importance of ongoing Remembrance. @DunfermlineHS

We had two wonderful lecturers from @EdinburghNapier in to talk about Criminology and Social Sciences with some of our senior pupil. It was very insightful and touched on possible career paths.@DunfermlineHS

Last week we had the great pleasure of being involved in the rededication of Dunfermline’s WW1 memorial. We had pupils in the ceremony and work displayed after. All pupils represented the school very well. They even met HRH The Princess Royal. @DunfermlineHS

Today we had a great time at the Scottish Parliament with our Higher Politics and debating pupils. FMQ was thoroughly enjoyed by our pupils! Thank you to the three MSPs who came along to see the pupils and answer some questions. @DunfermlineHS @EducationSP

Our amazing AH Geography class plus a few guests from Woodmill and Bell Baxter have been in Millport completing field work. The work has been great the weather a bit more mixed!@DunfermlineHS

Today our winning YPI group went to the National event at Perth. The pupils had a great time and left feeling very inspired by all of the speakers. @DunfermlineHS

A highlight of the faculty calendar is the YPI final. The standard and dedication of the pupil groups this year have been incredible. After a very close judging call the winners this year are Friends of Bandrum Nursing Home. It was a great evening! @DunfermlineHS

It has been a busy few weeks upstairs in B-Wing. Last week our new S4 Geographers went on a field trip to Dynamic Earth. They did this to collect invaluable data for the S4 course. @DunfermlineHS

This morning we said goodbye to our wonderful accommodation after one last shot in the games room. Pupils are now in the theme. Park before we head to the Ferry. @DunfermlineHS

After dinner the pupils had free time go explore Ypres but not before an amazing trip to get chocolate. They then packed and are now sleepy before we begin the return journey home… via the theme park! @DunfermlineHS

Our final stop in France today was to Vimy ridge. Here we reflect on the scale of loss of life before we head back to Ypres for dinner and our surprise chocolate activity. @DunfermlineHS

Our visit to Thiepval was very special. We had three pupils lay a wreath on behalf the school in memory of two former pupils remembered there. Abbie then read a poem and we observed a minutes silence.@DunfermlineHS
