Fabulous Memorial Service for a wonderful man. Well done to everyone involved @Everton.
Family members, friends and Evertonians joined together this afternoon to pay their respects and celebrate the late Kevin Campbell.

The legendary XI of ‘Southall, Stevens, van den Hauwe, Ratcliffe, Mountfield, Reid, Steven, Gray, Sharp, Bracewell, Sheedy’ started a game for the very first time on this date in 1984. Amazingly, that famous eleven players only ever started 14 games together for Everton!

50 years ago today, Rod Belfitt scored his first Everton goal - against Man City at Goodison. In the Blues previous home game, Belfitt had scored for Ipswich, a unique occurrence? Anyone see him play?

52 years ago today, Everton won the first ever European Cup penalty shoot-out. Not everybody knew the rules and when the German keeper saved Joe Royle’s first penalty, he thought they were through!

20 years ago today!! (He’d only been on the pitch 5 minutes…and it was exactly 12 months to the day after Paul Gascoigne had scored his one and only Everton goal). Who had this as their screen-saver, who was at Elland Road that night – and is anyone on the photo!

ON THIS DAY in 1997, Dave Watson and Neville Southall started an Everton game together for the 440th and final time – still a club record for any pair of players. We lost 2-0 at Goodison v Southampton! They first started together against Newcastle in a 1986 Full Members Cup tie.
