Trying to master the art of having fun while playing crappy disc golf.

Winter disc golf is better when it's below freezing. Having to try and wipe the slush off your disc after each throw (and being unsuccessful) is a pretty tough grind. Much less fun than if everything was just frozen. Any best practices for those slushy days?

Going to Ohio to play Whispering Oak this weekend. Anyone played this before? What do you think? Some say unfair with amount of trees on many holes.

Just watched the FPO Maple Hill open.... As it was starting I'm like let's see, Holyn has a tendency to sometimes...OH GOD...4 strokes in one hole.. oof.. tough to watch. Has there been a final round with as much movement on one hole this entire season?? I would lose my shiiii!!

Won this CTP a couple weeks ago and just realized it was a Glo disc...ok cool!! Then I went to check out the glow and there is literally next to nothing....?? It was the faintest glow I've ever seen, barely perceptible. What's up with this?? 🤔..

I haven't watched much pro disc golf this year but damn.... I'm sad about Kristin leaving indefinitely. She was so dominating for a stretch and I loved watching her. She was part of the reason I started working on straddle putting. Think she'll be back??

Welp dammit, it happened. I lost my cherished Barsby Roadrunner I've had for 4 years. 😢 Yes I can probably find another and beat it in just right over time. But what 9 speeds might you recommend that are reliably flippy/drifty, with little to no fade?? May pull an Avenger SS.

Idk if this is a thing anywhere but would you rent a TechDisc (and net) for a period of time vs buying one? I've been thinking about buying one for quite a while but it also occurred to me that people might rent one if it was available. I would.

maintenance and upkeep, and some other things like trash cans, brooms are a nice touch, aesthetics, type of basket and pads, I'm sure I'm forgetting things...what do you base it on??

How do you rate courses? I saw a post today saying BC3 isn't even in the top 5 in the southern half of Indiana. Others say it's #1. What components go into assessing the quality of any given course? For me it's the layout, mix of holes/shots, different tee pads and pins, 1/2

Fun course smack dab in the middle of nowhere Indiana...oh , I mean the metropolis of North Webster. Never know where you're gonna find a disc golf course. Lot of little basket icons all over the Udisc map even in rural Indiana.

Doubles best disc....do you like leagues where it's random doubles or doubles where they try to match A with B/C players? I think I like random better but it's always skewed...luck of the draw. You can be out of it before you even start and that can be a bummer.

How many times have I looked for a disc for 20...30 minutes, full of spider webs...finally concede and say, fuck it, I guess it's gone? 😢 Quite a lot. Then I start to walk away only to find it a few ft in where I know I've looked 5 times. 😊 Can't only be me can it? 🤷

Boy, I haven't posted in forever but was liking this recent photo. I take him out by myself to give him some exercise. Hopefully one day he's good enough to tag along during some casual play. There are some distracting dogs out there but most are great. Ever bring your dog?

I feel so out of the disc golf world right now. After my accident I didn't play much, then I healed up enough but Indiana turned into planet Hoth. Still playing once a week but I'm ready to get back playing regularly. Excited to play BC3 Saturday tho! Should be above freezing 🥶

Never played a worst shot doubles....is it fun? Seems like it may be a little frustrating but I'd guess you have to go into it knowing that and....just partake a lot and laugh? Thinking about playing this New Year's day tournament.

And I've just been corrected on this particular disc that does indeed have TRAIL stamped on the underside of the rim. Jeez, what a dummy I am! Still not all discs do.

It may be an extra step but I wish manufacturers would all print the name of the mold somewhere on the disc. I buy used discs but often times have little idea of what mold it may be. This is misprint Trail I just bought and it had me thinking about this.
