Climate action talks . In the wake of floods along the Eastern Cape’s east coastline, DEDEAT is working with partners to strengthen the province’s response to the escalating impacts of climate change.

Rebuilding hope in OR Tambo District. MEC Pieters handed over clothing and food parcels to 52 families affected by the recent floods in Mthatha. This stems from a partnership between ECDC, Black Coffee Foundation and various stakeholders to provide urgent relief.

Breaking waves, breaking barriers!. DEDEAT congratulates Pilot Olwethu Mtsewu-Sisilana, a daughter of the soil, from Qanda Village in Xesi, who made history by piloting one of the world’s largest container vessels, the 400-meter-long MSC Nicola Mastro, into the Port of Ngqura.
