Sitting in a pub by myself doing work on my phone. A guy sits next to me uncomfortably close. In less than three minutes he managed to be homophobic, sexist, and racist. Then he told me that he keeps getting barred from pubs and can't understand why. It's a fucking mystery. .

It bugs me when I watch a historical drama and they order archers to fire. "Fire" is gunpowder-era terminology. The orders for archers were ready, nock, mark, draw, loose. If you told a medieval archer to fire they wouldn't have a bloody clue what you were talking about.
