Player Spotlight: Neal Burtis (‘26 Tahoma High School) The @BeaverBaseball LHP commit features a loose/whippy arm action & high spin FB that that jumps out of the hand. Hides the ball well w/ plus velo which makes the FB get on hitters quick & adds deception to the off-speed.

Player Spotlight: Colby Rice (‘25 Tahoma High School) Short easy delivery with excellent command. Rice has a fastball with good 2-seam movement in the mid 80s, as well as a slider and changeup that pair really well off of his fastball. Rice had 7 strikeouts through 5.1 innings

Defense is still important in baseball, have to be able to field and throw the ball. Also for any pitchers that think PFP’s are boring, they are done for a reason. If Cole just covers the bag like he’s done his whole career, he gets out of the inning with the lead!
