Today, attended the Inauguration programme of “‘Swanirbhar Nari- Atmanirbhar Axom’ a convergence programme between the P & RD Deptt. and ASRLM and 12 other Deptt. to provide permanent assets to the SHG members holding active Job Cards.

Today visited and inspected the erosion affected areas of Bahari including renowned Bahari Satra and its adjacent areas under Chenga Revenue Circle and also instructed W.R. & P&RD dept. to take immediate measures for protection of Bahari Satra and adjoining areas.

Today on the occasion of “Gandhi Jayanti”, Barpeta District Administration and Health & F.W. Department has felicitated 367 nos. of “COVID-Warriors” cleaning staff working at various Quarantine Centres and Health Institutions in the district.

74th Independence Day was celebrated today by maintaining Social distancing norms and other Covid-19 precautionary measures. Sjt. Sidhartha Bhattacharya, Hon'ble Minister, Law & Justice, Cooperation Deptt, GDD etc. Assam hoisted the National Flag as Chief Guest at Barpeta.
