Today, I once again heard that "blocking is cowardly."
Other "cowardly" things, apparently:
1) Walking away from a bore at a party
2) Hanging up on telemarketers
3) Refusing to take every flyer handed to you as you walk down the Vegas Strip
4) Changing the channel

I try to avoid it. In hopes some sort of civil ground can be found. I try to give everybody as much opportunity as I can before shutting it down.
@imaginaryerika
Totally. I see chuds in other people's threads and nuke them from orbit. It's fantastic.
Sometimes I will scroll down a whole toxic thread blocking every single idiot there.
@AllisonRFloyd
This seems obvious... unless you’re the person who wants the right to yell nonsense and abuse in peoples’ faces.
Related: the person who said this was cowardly was an anon account talking to two people using their real names and faces...
@DAvallone
I find people that block you just because you do not agree with them 100% on everything a bit cowardly....just saying. People don't know how to debate. They don't know how to reason.
@msleeannb
I mostly block people who are terrible at debating. Dumb, boring, intellectually dishonest... easy blocks.
Here’s what people don’t understand about debating; it’s not about convincing the other person. It’s about the audience. If you made your point, you can walk away.

It a longer version of this tweet that was one of the examples: not answering the door when the Jehovahs knock. It got edited out for space.
