*$4 trillion increase on the debt ceiling*. 'We promise guys, there's no inflation going to happen here'.
@elonmusk There was no inflation in Trumps first term . He grew us out of it, . He'll do the same this time. tax cuts work every time they're tried.

Like every ideology doesn't have its gay little comics. So what?. Libertarianism is a growing movement, this is a great sign.

I have a feeling this person isn't white, orthodox, into philosophy, based, or a mom—let alone a woman.
@StefanMolyneux I think a better example is do men ever lie to get women put in jail? (I have no idea, I'll let people in the comments answer).

Might have something to do with the "catholic" part of the 'highschool'.
@StefanMolyneux My catholic high-school math teacher told me she was a pedophile. She said:. "Ahh Well 'paedophile' just means lover of children, and I LOVE my children! And I love teaching children. Therefore; I'm a pedo!". I don't know why she wasn't fired.

Argumentation has always been a process of reason and discussion. We use 'argument' like a high-school break up, but it's always primarily been about getting to the truth of a given matter. All those presuppositions follow—you can dismiss it, and enter the 'Law of the Jungle.'.
@venusdeotis @MonarchoHoppean Right. Let’s grant MonHoppe that “real” arguing involves this ethical commitment. Then we just say that a lot of what most people are doing isn’t real argument. Presto, no performative contradiction. You can’t make a substantive philosophical point simply by definitional fiat.

Yeah, but you would be getting to the TRUTH of the matter, even if it's unrealistic.
@liquid2ulu @venusdeotis @Mattzwolinski This isn't a good defense of argumentation ethics even though I agree with it. People can make arguments that aren't related to conflicts or where the truth isn't the objective. "1 gorilla vs 100 men" is a great example. The point isn't to get at an actual answer, it's just the.
