Sometimes, I have to remind myself that "reading" doesn't just have to be dense 5lb thick books. Books come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. It's just as valid to consume 15 Spider-Man comics. Bc reading is about fun and empathy, not page count. 🖤.

I'm mostly back on schedule with revisions after a couple chapters that needed heavier changes. Did I want to be done a week ago? Yes. Would I rather polish this as much as possible instead or rushing it? 100%. It's okay to work on the time set for you, not someone else's. 🖤.

Sometimes revising and polishing causes me to go looking through my language journals or mythology, songs, poems, etc. and I find old stuff I completely forgot about. It's my favorite thing because I feel like I fall in love with my own world all over again. #WritingCommunity.

I love much of HCP (I mean I wrote it) yet going to the City of Corvus and introducing the reader to Rook's past, his family, his friends, that remains one of my favorite parts to reread and work on in all honesty.

It's library day, which means new fuel for revisions. Only one chapter got done yesterday, but I believe it adds so much more to the story now. Magpie knows. secrets. .

Two more chapters revised, and we are digging into more lore, feeding it in there slowly this time around. Been also cleaning up some passive verbs and sentences, but the polishing is going well. I am starting to enjoy rereading my own work. #WritingCommunity.
