So explain to me why using bots for music is fraud but using bots for misinformation on social networks is not fraud?
@V7nny69 @worldranking_ It's illegal because it constitutes fraud: using AI to generate fake songs and bots to artificially inflate streams deceives platforms like Spotify into paying unearned royalties (about $10M). Michael Smith was charged with wire fraud and money laundering in 2024 for this scheme.
