On the eighth of January during the thunder snow here in the Preseli Hills many of my weather sensors were damaged by lightning.Over the last month I have replaced and recalibrated all my sensors and backup sensors at considerable cost.All now good.

Some of my sensors were zapped by lightning last night and are now reporting erratic https://t.co/yzVu29HBq4 station is going offline while I investigate.

The next four or five hours could be quite tricky around Crymych, it’s snowing and the temperature has dropped to 1° . Around midnight the temperature begins to rise and it should turn back to rain.

Latest forecast snow depths by early Friday from the Met Office UV model. Don't take it too literally but gives you an idea. Some low lying areas near the coast will have plain rain or sleet. On higher ground some large falls of snow, especially >200m, 650ft. Berwyns and Powys.

Monday evening we had 100 mm of snow in Crymych resulting in traffic chaos with some drivers having to abandon their vehicles.Thanks to superb efforts by PCC and local farmers the roads were passable by midnight.Looking good today
