ok, looks like it was just a glitch in middle of saturday - can't think why but certainly by time ezra, greentea, raye. doechii, charlie and neil were on, it was all good - plus they finally added that "banned" band to iplayer. .

BBC broadcast and iPlayer coverage of Glastonbury is seriously broken. "Live" doesn't actually correspond to the schedule, and they are running lots of hours old footage. This is not a public service, it's bad.

ok, all forgiven - hyperoptic refunds + credit for loss of service beyond all expectation - excellent enginees showed up and fixed everything and showed how it was actually broken by another broadband provider (which I'd suspected but was shown evidence!) -good!.

now the engineer phones from outside my house at 4.30pm - he'd been off for the morning - well that's not my problem, that is hyperoptics problem. get us an engineer in less than 48 hours or i shall start to switch provider on the basis you've broken the contract.

you want to charge us £25 pounds if we cancelled an egineering appointment, but then you don't show up in the scheduled 9-1 slot when we waited in for an engineer this morning - you should be paying us £25 for wasting our time.

and now have waited 6 days for an engineer to visit to fix second multiday outage from #Hyperoptic. also why do they only give a "morning" v. "afternoon" slot? Ocado give delivery slots to 30min intervals, and then give you a cool notofication when they are just about to arrive.

sadly, the switch to #Hyperoptic at 9am today lasted 5 minutes before breaking (modem LOS light is flashing red). Unfortunately, they'd already notified my old provider who'd terminated their service. Now I have no internet til monday when hyperoptic schedule an engineer visit.

here we go again. @virginmedia broadband down. now reporting not going to be fixed til noon on dec 27. 4 days outage over xmas. no streaming tv. no zoo, calls to family. £46 pounds a month for this in the capital of the 6th richest country in the world. the worst.

hilarious - while waiting for @virginmedia to fix their useless broadband, i get an email from them about staying safe from scammers. yes, being disconnected 100% of a day will work for that. except for virginmedia still charging me for not being connected. @virginmedia scam.

how bad are #virginmedia as a broadband provider in north london? well, after yesterday's 7 hour outage, we now have today's 8 hour outage (at least if we trust their status report on estimated repair) - appaling would be a polite way to describe their service levels.
