"The 2020 vintage was another stellar one for England, and so one would expect another triumph for Danbury Ridge. These two wines are sensational, and I’m delighted to have the chance to share my thoughts on them with you." - John Mobbs

Look what popped through our door this morning! Our industry must be growing strong to need a second Vineyard focused magazine. Look who's in the first addition, our regions @NewHallWines & their new harvester. Look out for 'Handsome Andy' hidden in the pages. 😁 @FarmersGuide

Exciting news for Essex Vineyards & Wineries in Tom Hewson's 'England 2022 Special Report'. Roughly between 20% and 50% of Still Wines reviewed and 58% of the Awarded Still Wines came from . . . Essex Wineries/Vineyards or Wines made from Essex Grapes. #Towiegrapes

Just like that, harvest 2022 is complete. A vintage that will be remembered for +40°C days, 10mm of rain in 3 months and every parcel of Pinot Noir above 14% ABV. A stellar vintage that closed on the same date that harvest 2021 began. Thank you to our incredible team #Harvest22

Will soon be go go go in the @CrouchValleyRgn. Vineyards are getting prepared, some are having a little nibble but very soon #grapeharvest will be in full swing. Fancy a go at grape picking? Find your nearest vineyard on the @WineCellarDoor website for more information. 😉

After a few hours collecting grape samples . . . I'm beginning to ask 'Why did I plant some many different vines?'. 🫣 Won't get all the results done today but things are looking good, going by my #Stickyhands. #countdowntoharvest #crouchvalley #essex #grapes #samples

Grapes must be looking pretty ripe in the #crouchvalley if vineyards are looking to bird protection. Nets, kites even gas bangers may even be used. 😳 #grapestuff #birdsbegone #essexvineyard

Hmm . . . these grapes are beginning to look quite ripe. Think it is time to start some bird protection. 🤔 Audible Scarer for now, maybe put up a kite later. #vineyardlife #cropprotection #crouchvalley #scareybirds #getoffmygrapes #essexvineyard

Another long day on the #familyfarm & still very hot out there. Time to try another trial bottle of our #sparkling Pinot Noir. Think we are getting there, 18 months on the lees, tasting smooth and blackcurranty. I think we now have a plan to produce a larger volume. #winetrials

Where is the best place to grow grapes in England? Some say the Downs or the Chilterns, with their chalky slopes. Some say Kent! But many are starting to quietly say “Essex” and, in particular, the Crouch Valley. Take a look at why… https://t.co/RQnuaZJgWU #EnglishWineWeek
