Crossingham women did the Isle of Barry. Absolutely lush, had a cracking day. Played at Nessa’s slots, fish & chips & ice cream at Marco’s. Even got the t shirt. Tidy. #Gavinandstacey

Highly recommend ‘In all weathers’ by Matt Gaw. @MattGaw . Beautiful evocative reading, challenged my reactions to weather - carried on working on the allotment in the rain - not today tho as it was bucketing. Give it a read!.#Bookrecommendations #BookTwitter

Eldest has only gone & got Distinction Distinction Merit in her BTEC Performing Arts & got fully accepted at University of Winchester to do the acting, with long term goal of being Doctor Who. I’m so proud and devastated at the same time. I fully blame David Tennant. #DoctorWho

Remembering all those murdered & injured that day, just going to work, I worked at BTEC just up from the BMA on Tavistock Square years before, lovely part of London, getting the bus from Waterloo. thanks to all the medics, especially those that ran out of the BMA to help.
King Charles has called on the nation to stand "firm against those who would seek to divide us" and to remember the stories of “extraordinary courage and compassion” that emerged from the 7/7 bombings in London. The King will be represented by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh

Amen to this. We are expected to be brave, inspirational & run marathons. Even yesterday, years out of treatment, I felt a level of fatigue only cancer gave me which makes me feel quite ill. You are never the same. The daily pills have so many side effects. Love to all impacted.
The Princess of Wales has spoken of the pressure of putting on a “brave face” through cancer treatment and recovery. She said there was an expectation that patients “crack on" and get back to normal. Kate is continuing her return to public life while in remission.

Blimey, and there was me complaining about the price of a day return to Waterloo 😮.
King Charles has decided to scrap his royal train service, first commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1869, because it is no longer cost-effective. The train was only used twice in the last financial year, with the two journeys costing almost £80,000. @richardgaisford has more.

Thinking of my Grandad today, a soldier for 20 years, served throughout the war, went in #DDay 2nd wave and in his tank through Europe. Died in 57 at just 51, here he is at Mum & Dad’s wedding in 55. The war aged & broke him. As it rained today, I thanked him with flowers.
